A question about : Balance transfer classed as cash advance
Hi,
Can I do a balance transfer to a card with zero balance so that i take advantage of the my 0% on balance transfer period and have a credit on my second card by the amount of the balance transfer? I could then use this credit for purchases.
Best answers:
- Be in contravention of the account terms. You may well find your account access suspended.
- depends on the card, some have T&C's which stop this - they will return the money to the original card.
Some will intergate you for money laundering.
Some actively encouraged positive balances, but I am not aware of a specific card that is of use to you currently. - I managed this this week using a barcaly card to create a positive balaance on a tesco card.
