A question about : Arrow Global / Egg / Scotcall... again

Hello,
I incurred a debt with Egg on a loan and credit card about 13 years ago. This debt followed me round till around 2010 when I paid it off (using PPPI compensation money which felt like natural justice). I received a letter of satisfaction etc and all was well. However I have just started receiving phonecalls and letters from Scotcall in reference to this debt. I tried to contact Egg to get some documents to confirm that this debt has been paid but Egg no longer exists (or at least they had no record of me). When I spoke to Arrow Global they told me to speak to Egg and vice versa, so I couldn't get anywhere with either company. I spoke to my bank and asked if they have any record of me paying the debt but it was too long ago and they don't have the records for that period.
I had a brainwave (miniature) and spoke to a credit check company who said that the only default they had was now cleared and was from 2003 and with Lloyds....ergo no trace of anything on my credit record from Egg, Arrow Global or Scotcall.
I am pretty vexed about this as I spent a couple of years trying to become debt free and for it all to come back seems pretty unfair.

Ideas ?
