A question about : Anyone had any dealings with VITAL BEAUTY

I have received something in the post to tell me I have won around Ј6000 in some kind of prize draw. I've read and reread the letter to check all the small print, but doesn't seem to have a catch. Has anyone had any dealings or won anything like this. I sent the details off, so I've got my fingers crossed.

Best answers:

  • never heard of them..................congratulations...........a nice amount of money
  • I,m extremely sceptical about this, but if you have not had to divulge any personal details, or ring any premium numbers, good luck!-keep me posted, wont you?
  • How did you get on as I got the same thing and it claims I've won 17,500. I have sent back my claim and I am making a purchase, as the stuff they sell is good quality (a bit expensive), but good quality. And seventeen and a half thousand isn't bad if its true!
  • Hello everyone,
I am new to this, first I could not log on, thought I had forgot my password, sent for another and then realised I was using the wrong details- what am I like! - I need a bit more practice, this is like first riding a bike (which I still cannot do).
I too received mail from Vital Beauty and sent off for some of the products listed in their catalogue, but somehow I have an uneasy feeling that I may not see any of those products. I checked the UK postcode as shown on the address, but there is no such postcode the nearest postcode is a College. I suppose the postbox number is the actual address in that area - Sounds a bit suspicious to me. I suppose my main reason (greed) for sending off for the items is because it said that I had won Ј8,500.
Can anyone confirm receipt of any money or contact. Their telephone number is costly at Ј1.00 per minute? I will let you all know if I get a response.

  • 3-4 different people claiming they have won this with amount over 6,000, calls costing a Ј1 and address being unclear?! Surely scam bells must be running.
  • hello,
i've received the same mail from Vital Beauty so did you really win this amount of money!
  • Since October last year I have received no fewer than 13 guarantees from Vital Beauty or its partner Swiss Home Shopping that I have won cheques varying in amount from Ј17,500 to Ј7,000, and always with a different serial number. No purchase is actually necessary and I do not make any. In that case they say you have to wait for your money for 12 weeks after the closing date, which should mean that I would be receiving 13 cheques, totalling Ј157,500, some time in the autumn of 2006. This is obviously ridiculous - even more so when we know that lots of other people have had similar guarantees! Clause 10 of the small print includes the sentence "Vital Beauty would like to remind you that this document contains no firm offer". Not what you would expect when you have received a guarantee that a cheque in your name has alrady been prepared!
  • Unless I am mistaken, the VB address, and the Swiss Home Shopping one, is an address previously used by "Sweet and Tasty", a expensive home delivery chocolate operation run by a Friedrich Mueller, and exposed by "Watchdog". FM was a frequent name on Euro scam websites, and on various advertising warning lists. "Friedrich Mueller Scam" will get search results on the internet. Any responses to VB and SHS are likely to get you sucked into the Friedrich Mueller web, and probably you then start to receieve increasingly insistent mailings about "prizes" and "awards", as well as automated phone calls, all enticing you to part with money. I'd strongly advise you to have nothing to do with either "company"
  • Hello all, just found this thread when Googling "Vital Beauty" - I'm an executor on a deceased estate and currently receive a small bag of redirected post every day, including multiple mailings from VB all promising cash sums blah blah and also multiples from Friedrich Muller and assorted other laughable enterprises, including several Australian Lottery organisations.
I have registered all of the deceased's previous addresses with the Mailing Preference Service and four months on the mail still comes. I have also been returning it all to sender.
In summary, if you receive something from VB I urge you to ignore it. If anyone has any bright ideas on how to sort my post situation out please let me know, theres 8 more months of redirection left!!!
  • Avoid this Co at all costs. They prey on the elderly and vunerable members of society. The paperwork looks like you have won - but it's just a scam to get you to order the tat they sell.
Not been taken in myself, but know of them.
  • pacoryan - they are not based in the UK so I am sure the mailing preference service doesn't apply to them.
  • I've just had 'confirmation' today that I'm the single winner of their top prize of Ј16,100. Seeing as there is no purchase necessary and you don't have to give them any more details, then I guess there is no harm. I wont hold my breath though! Would be interested to hear if anyone has actually received any money from them.
  • PLEASE PLEASE, DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE!!!!!
If anyone saw the BBC TV program Old dogs new tricks, with Ester and Lynn, on 21st Sept 2006. You will now know that Vital Beauty is another trading name for a company based in Belgium and France, that have a court order aginst them from Trading Standards in London, Uk, to STOP sending out their tatty catalogues, asking people to place order's and within 2 weeks they will receive their winning cheques for Ј10,000-12,500.
IT IS A SCAM, and if you have fallen for it, like most people do, you have lined the pockets of a very wealthy and moral-less man, over in Belgium, who sated on National prime time TV within the UK, tonight, that he does not "care" he is doing this to people.
I am sorry to burst your bubble, in the hopes like many others that you were going to have a "lovely cheque" for Ј10,000, but it WONT arrive, no matter how hard you try or how many complaint letters you write to them
PLEASE take note of this, I dont want to hear that anyone else has been scammed out of money, and their confidence, with forums like this we can all keep an "eye-out" or each other and hopefully put these monsters out of business.
    Take care everyone!!!
  • if they ask you to part with any cash in order to recieve this money, PLEASE do not do this, as it is a scam, no matter how much they try to contact you, I watched a documentary on Tonight with Trevor McDonald on stuff like this a couple of months ago
  • PRIZE? You will find THIS interesting.
  • I have been receiving stuff from vitamail, Vital Beauty and now one today from Biotonic. They all say that I have won £10,000, but when you read the small print on the back if you can read it, they are all competitions, no purchase necessary. All end July 07. Then the competition I expect will disappear. If I had enoughmoney I wouold take all the people that ran these things to court and sue them for malpractice or something.
Before I thought how much this was costing me in postage every month I was sending the competition back. I am however getting four or five a week now and it is getting beyond a joke.
Not impressed realy. Don't mind entering a comp but there should be some light at the end of the tunnel. I think they have moved the comp draw date further away as well. I hae kept all the mailings so I am going to have alook.
