A question about : Any genuine product testing websites?

There are so many scams out there I wanted to ask if anyone has come across any genuine websites. Is the rewards worth it and do you get to keep everything you get or have to send some back?

Best answers:

  • Most supermarkets have a Home Panel. I belong to the Tesco one and quite often get to test stuff and you always get to keep the products after the test. There is nothing additional (ie money) to the products you test.

  • how do you become involved in this?
  • I've had a couple of products through from doing the Pinecone Research surveys. Think you have to be referred for this or find a sign-up link though. Even if you don't get to test products it's Ј3 per survey which is quite decent.
  • im with pinecone and each survey usually takes around 10-15 mins ive earnt around Ј27 last month which means my boys get a treat so im happy,
  • Can i just ask if thats around Ј27 per month as i only get roughly 1 survey every month. Pleased with pinecone though.
  • I have occasionally had cosmetic and household products from these people:
    https://www.cosmeticresearchonline.co.uk
It's not a regular thing though - and you need to respond to invites and profile updates quite quickly to be in with a chance.
  • I tried emailing Lush today, but they said they were full X
  • i stumbled across www.clixresearch.com & signed up.
you complete your profile which is bit long winded but after i did this i got offered my first trial very quickly. they send emails & think it's first come first served!
so far i've received 2x cosmetic products to test - no need to return them and the questionaires are very easy to complete

  • There's a thread about Clix here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...test+cosmetics
I do it, the questionnaires take no time at all though I don't get that many but it's fun to try the new products - some are lovely, some are dire, I'm doing a cream at the moment.
It seems quite a few of these kinds of things are posted in the freebies board so it might be worth checking there as it isn't really boosting your income as you don't get paid for Clix - unlike the other one mentioned here where you get paid Ј3 per survey (very easy they are too)I can't say the name as they keep a check and chuck you off if they even suspect you talk about them.
  • Ipsos have sent me products to test, a pack of nappies, box of santitary towels and some odd crisps. You get 'paid' for doing the initial survey, then again for the follow-up.
Also, was part of the Flora Cuisine thing were I sent in photos of 2 recipes I'd made with it and made Ј10
  • Hey guys,
I would think about you in PM if I get the chance to be able to send invite to people on pinecone. Not too bad indeed but I sometimes do survey, get selected, accept the product testing and then no news.
I also use Paid Product Testing, quiet website but it works. They also sometimes offer online surveys. Kind of new I guess.
  • It's worth signing up to magazine newsletters if you want to test products. I am signed up for newsletters for all the fashion/beauty mags. They often send out surveys on products and ask you to test them. I have been sent quite a few things from Glamour magazine (cleaners, shampoos etc).
  • Hi there,
I see your a new Mummy.. congrats... I test products for Bizzybabies! Not many people seem to know about them? But they are fantastic.. I have had some excellent products to test and you get to keep them. One of them was a Buggy!
  • Try Savvy Circle. They started doing product testing last year. You apply to participate in different projects. I did the Maxfactor one which was great as I liked the 2 in 1 foundation and serum and got a full size foundation to test.
