A question about : American Express & Rail Company query (OT?)

Hi guys,
bit of a strange query really this one.
Recently I bought my yearly rail pass and split the cost over two credit cards one of them being Amex (2% Cashback thanks to you guys!)

Anyway I maxed the amex out and paid the rest on mastercard.

Now heres the funny thing my mastercard showed up the spend a few days later. However my amex, just over one month later, is still showing nothing!!

is there a time limit on these things?
Any other advice? Obviously I'd like to be racking up the cashback on my Amex but I can't because if the rail ticket goes through I'll be over my limit.
