A question about : Advice please

Hi,
I have entered competitions on and off over quite a few years. I've never had any problems receiving the prizes. In fact, quite the opposite, everything had arrived very quickly, I've been lucky. title=Smile

Anyway, I won a runner up prize on the 18th December for a Ј50 voucher. I was told that the advertiser would either send me my prize or contact me in the next 28 days. I didn't hear or receive anything. I emailed back on the 28th January and got a reply straight away that they would chase up the advertiser and that if I hadn't heard from them in 2 weeks, I should email again so they can chase it up. So again, I emailed on the 18th of February and got a reply. This time I was told that they have had a problem sourcing the vouchers and that this has been resolved now and that I'll be sent an email when they are ordered.

I'm not being ungrateful at all as I appreciate everything I win, I just feel a bit like I'm hassling them. Is this normal? I could give the company's name if that is allowed and see if anyone else has had a similar experience? And also now I am not sure when to email back if I don't hear anything as I wasn't given a time, was just told to wait for them to get back to me. Any help appreciated as to whether I should just wait or email them in a specified time. :S Thanks

Best answers:

  • Also just to add, if I haven't given them enough time and this is normal in competition wins, just let me know
  • I would give them a couple of weeks from the 18th.
Prizes should be delivered within whatever time scale is given in the competition T&Cs or competition details, WEM etc. If nothing is stated it should be within 30 days.
