Additional ring circuits

I Have a two bedroom terrace house in essex (thurrock) with only one ring circuit for all the sockets , as it trips off under heavy load i want it changed to 3 rings, one upstairs, one downstairs and one kitchen (the oven & hob are on separate circuit & ok).as are the lights . I will also need a new consumer unit can anyone give me an idea of the costs and any recommended electricians would be great.

• If you want that much work doing you may as well get the whole lot done.The lighting would be better split into 2 circuits and the cooker circuit could cause problems once connected to a new consumer unit with mcb/rcd protection.To rewire a 2 bed terrace I would charge from Ј1600.00 for a basic spec.(Iam in nwI)f you go for just an upgrade of the consumer unit and socket circuits I would knock about Ј300 off that price.However you could end up with problems on the remaining circuits in the future and have to go through all the mess again.
