A question about : Account balance disappeared during switch

I've switched my account from TSB to Barclays. Today is my switch date and in a letter from Barclays, I was told that any remaining balance in my TSB current account would be transferred to my Barclays account by midday.

I have logged into my TSB online account and my remaining balance of just over Ј3000 left my account at 12.46 this afternoon. It has not yet appeared in my Barclays account. I have contacted TSB and they claim that Barclays have received the money. Barclays are saying that they haven't yet received anything and it could take until the end of the working day for it to leave what they describe as a holding account.

Is this normal? Obviously I can wait until 6.30 for the money to arrive in my account but any longer and I'm going to be in a bit of a difficult situation. I don't really have the time to be going between TSB and Barclays to find out where my money is and who's currently responsible for it. Cheers.
