American Airlines has just launched its winter sale with a multitude of slashed-price transatlantic seats, from London Heathrow and Manchester, for bookings made by 9 Nov.
Return journeys to New York start from Ј308, Boston Ј348, Miami Ј368, LA Ј405 plus others, including most taxes & charges, and availability is vast.
While those who remember pre-2007 sub-Ј200 transatlantic flights may think these sound costly, at this time of year and taking into account fuel and tax hikes in recent years, a low Ј300s fare is a very competitive price.

Travel must be from 4 Nov - 15 Dec '10 or from 24 Dec '10 - 7 Apr '11.
Got a specific date & location in mind?

- Don't forget AA's and BA's flights across the Atlantic (USA) now have each other's codes and are available through each other's websites. Some internal AA flights also have BA codes making it easy to do a multi-stop trip on one itineary.

- I took advantage of an American Airlines Sale earlier on in the year.
But upon boarding the aircraft at Manchester, I discovered that it was a Boeing 757 - SINGLE-AISLE aircraft!
For me personally, it was much too cramped; the queues for the toilet (where I DID step on toes waiting!) combined with the meal trolleys blocking the aisle made for an uncomfortable experience!

i think its mid town (around 96 street) in May for 4 nights for Ј246
no meals. which I booked through MSE hotel search with a website called
EasyClickTravel.com
this price was cheaper than any inclusive package company could get
We had stayed at this hotel before (and it was a hotel, all equivalent hotels turned out to be Hotel/Hostels)
Cheap but acceptable
And the best (cheapest/and almost quickest) way to get from Newark Airport to New York is by train (njtransit or the amtrak) from Newark to Penn Station (35th street)
