40 Comping Tips

A question about : 40 Comping Tips

I was very interested to read Martin's latest Newsletter and the item regarding comping tips. Item 18 says we should enter comps online for free. My question is this - has anyone ever won anything this way? Methinks that comps are skewed to get the premium rate phone money from us and therefore 'free' entries might be sifted out.

• I have never paid to enter any of the many thousands of comps I have entered
• I've never paid for a competition entry, other than a very occasional text entry (once per year if that) and have won lots of nice prizes.
• never paid, and never will , its fun, and a hobby. and helps me deal with my medical issues over the last cpl of years. and have had some nice wins. check out the ITV winners club post, to see how many from here have won
• I've also never paid to enter a comp, and I usually get 6 - 10 ish small wins a month.
• Never paid to enter a prize draw. Often win. Competitions I believe could be bound by gambling regulations when you have to pay to enter.

• I am new here but have been comping for a while. I do not pay to enter competitions, only the odd postal competitions for ITV, Ch4, 5 etc.
  And yes, I have won some lovely prizes including Goodwood Festival Of Speed tickets, Amazon Vouchers, Concert tickets etc.
