A question about : 18 year old with Chronic Fatigue and Clinical Depression
Hi, does anyone know if my daughter will be able to apply for ESA? She has CFS and Clinical Depression, and has had to drop out of college due to these conditions. I'm at a loss to know where to turn. TIA.
Best answers:
- My son claims ESA - he has ME.
It's not the diagnosis that matters but how it affects you.
Have you seen the ME Association site - you can get leaflets that help when filling in the forms - https://www.meassociation.org.uk/shop/ - derbyhospitals.nhs/chronic-fatigue-me have a dedicated clinic
please go to gp for a referral xx - Thankyou for your replies.
- Just to add that if she hasn't already, she should consider applying for Personal Independence Payment also (both can be paid at the same time) if she meets the criteria.
- Thankyou everyone. I sometimes feel very alone in trying to support her, and your lovely replies have really helped.
