A question about : Wired Network, Best Router?

Mum & Dad have just got broadband today and as they have a computer and printer each they want them networked so both can be online at the one time if they so wish. What router would you recommend and where can you get it and all the leads required cheapest?

A question about : Unable to boot into Vista

Hi

I can't get the computer to boot into either normal or safe mode.
My OH was using Photoshop and shut down normally and now the computer won't boot.
It's coming up with a BSOD with:-
STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005 0x812C976F 0X8C403924 0X00000000)

There was a pop-up which requested registration but he clicked ignore.

The computer was bought as a refurb so the recovery discs aren't available.

All help greatly appreciated.

A question about : Is Wi-Fi safe?

It's the middle of the night and I can see no less than seven Wi-Fi routers broadcasting into my flat at signal strength varying from Weak to Excellent.

That doesn't include networks with Hidden SSID which I can't so easily detect.

I am going to try to sleep in a few minutes. How might my sleep patterns be affected by all this surplus and totally wasted energy in the ether about my head?

What is Backing up?

Backing up is essentially making a copy of your data (be that email, photos etc) so if anything happens to the original for any reason, you can restore the data from the copy with minimal or no loss. There are various levels of backup giving various degrees of protection depending on the possible bad event that may occur and how easily to get back to where you were with hopefully no permanent loss of data and information.

What are everyones recommendations for must have software to put on it?

I am also looking at getting an SD WiFi card however does this mean i have to have either WiFi or Sat Nav and carry a card around with me?
