Please help, fellow stoozers!!!

A question about : Please help, fellow stoozers!!!

Oh dear, it was all going so well..... started stoozing in Feb and have several cards now, up to about 60k. egg card balance needs transferring, so applied to Cap One 18mth. Turned down, offered 6mth with a paltry Ј200 limit.

Just applied on line to Intelligent Finance and NSPCC card......both rejected.

What is going on, and what do I do? Looks like I might have to pay Egg off from my stooze pot rather than transfer?

From reading other posts, I presume these 3 rejections are counting heavily against me.

Student overdraft stooze?

A question about : Student overdraft stooze?

If I were to become a student for a few months and applied to all the high st banks for a student accounts, you think it would be possible to stooze the 0% overdraft that most of these student accounts offer? I know most of them usually offer something like Ј1k initally and goes up depending on what year of study you are in.

Also do they credit check on opening an account?

Horror stories?

A question about : Horror stories?

So I'm just thinking about having a bit of a stooze (is it a noun too?), and I've noticed that while this forum seems full of useful advice and success stories, there's not much mention of when things go wrong.

So... has anyone been caught out? Ended up paying interest that wiped out the stooze profits? Application didn't come through in time? BT didn't happen in time? Credit card company rumbled you? Forgot to make a monthly payment? Don't be embarrassed, let's hear 'em title=Wink

My stoozing days abruptly ended?

A question about : My stoozing days abruptly ended?

I'm not sure what do and would appreciate any advice please...

6 months ago...thanks to much advice here... I started stoozing... to the tune of around Ј30K split over a mix of Egg/Virgin and Halifax cards.... this has been making a great difference to my mortgage payments as the stooze has offset my interest...

All was going well until I got made redundant last month.

Moving mortgage in January, will my stooze pot affect anything

A question about : Moving mortgage in January, will my stooze pot affect anything

Hi all, I currently have around 14.5k stoozed in my Standard Life bank offset mortgage from a Virgin & an MBNA. My discount period ends in January & I will be shifting to a normal mortgage & using savings accounts instead, after reading this thread I found out that offsets aren't that good, although this one has been ok with the 2 year discount.
I've just applied for an RBS card & will be muling whatever credit limit I get via my Virgin card into the offset.

Stoozing advice

A question about : Stoozing advice

Hello everyone

I'm hoping to dive into the world of stoozing.
I'm buying a (3rd) house, I was gonna remortgage, but I'm gonna stooze it, I need @ 8k.

Can you just advise me, what do I do.

Do I need 2 cards? I don't understand how the balance transfer thing works, how do I get the money, if I'm not doing a balance transfer?

And, should I go for the Halifax one or the Virgin one?

Hope my question makes sense, thanks for reading.
kind regards
Alex, Manchester

New to stoozing

A question about : New to stoozing

I have just opened a RBS OneAccount, and am looking into stoozing to bring the balance down on my account.
I am pretty well-organised, so I think I will be able to manage.
I have been turned down for a Virgin card, which I need to look into, as I think it must be because I have a couple of dormant MBNA cards which I haven't used for years. I imagine once I get rid of them, I will be Ok with Virgin?
