What's this all about?

As part of this site's ethical stance, each year money is donated to charity. With nearly half a million pounds donated so far, it's MoneySavingExpert.com's way of giving back to users.

Two thirds of the money goes to support the debt & consumer education The MSE Charity; and the rest to charities nominated by site users.

In November 2007, online retailer RedSave was the subject of a vast array of primarily negative forum comment, about a 'hidden' Ј20 monthly charge levied even on small purchases. We then received legal complaints, from RedSave's owners, Nettexmedia, who said that many of the posts were untrue and defamatory.

Since that time, with the help of financial journalist Toby Walne, we have been investigating the validity of MoneySavers' experiences of RedSave.
