A question about : Cat Hairballs

First off, didn't know where else to post this, so apologies if the Mods feel if it's in the wrong place! (or if it doesn't belong on MSE at all)

My cat is 14 and just recently has started hacking up furballs more and more recently. We give him Whiskas anti-furball treats, which he likes, but still he keeps coughing (and choking) on them.

Can anyone give me some advice as it is starting to distress not only the cat but his loving parents too (awwwww).

Anyone has seen my previous posts we had to ask permission from our landlady for a pet.

A question about : Insuring a Rabbit?

Hi All,

I bought a baby rabbit yesterday and I have been considering insuring her, but not sure if there is any point or who to look at. A lot of pet insurers seem only to do cats and dogs. The one I have found for rabbits is quoting nearly Ј10 a month with a Ј60 excess. That means she would have to have over Ј180 worth of treatment in a year before there was any benefit in having the policy.

I've started sending the whole family (me, hubbie, 2 dogs!) to clicker training classes - Max is used to expensive freeze dried liver, and the people running the class wanted to feed Jez hotdog (not very healthy IMO) so with a bit of research I have found this cheap, healthy recipe, and thought I would share it!!

I was just thinking last night... pets are funny.

I mean, laugh out loud funny.

And then they get so cute when they look at you, when you're laughing, and kinda say: Well what do you think you're laughing about?

Or is it just me?

A question about : Homemade cat litter freshner?

Because we're out during the day, when we come back the litter tray can be a little pongy until we see to it.

I've bought Bob Martins litter freshner a couple of times and it's really good but too expensive to buy all the time.

So I thought if I mixed bicarb (to absorb the smell) and talcum powder (to prevent caking - read that somewhere) I could make my own. Doesn't seem to work.

Any body get any other ideas?

I've searched mega indexed thread but nothing on there....
