Cat and Pet Birds

A question about : Cat and Pet Birds

My dad passed away this week and as a result his beloved cat is now looking for a new home.

I cannot bear the thought of her going somewhere we don't know and as we have a couple of cockatiels did not consider taking her here. Thinking about it we are considering having here for a few days to see how it goes. We could keep her out of the lounge where the cage is when we were out and overnight and the rest of the time could keep an eye on things.

Grandcat having extended 'sleepover'!

A question about : Grandcat having extended 'sleepover'!

my son had a beautiful cat for his birthday last year - but in the last couple of months the cat (Barney) has started to behave aggressively to the other cats and the dog. he isn't eating (lost lots of weight), he has stopped grooming himself and is now toileting outside the litter tray.
my son has asked me to take Barney for a few weeks to see if his behaviour improves as he thinks the cat is suffering stress. if this is so he will then rehome him as an 'only cat'.

The offer also applies to rabbits if they've not been vaccinated in the last 9 months. Fill in the form to download the voucher and it'll tell you which vets are participating.

Cod Liver Oil

A question about : Cod Liver Oil

Hi all,

My GSHx has a bit of a dry and 'unglossy' coat, although he is brushed daily and someone suggested squirting a capsule of C.L.O into his food once a day, or even a raw egg.

Good idea/bad idea? I'm presuming it's harmless enough but wanted to get some advice from you guys first, in case the advice from this guy is an old wives tale (he is an old-fashioned sort of chap!)

Thanks for any tips title=Smile

Cost of Euthanasia/Pet Cremation

A question about : Cost of Euthanasia/Pet Cremation

As you can see from my signature, I very sadly had my cat pts recently.

I had the vet call here so as to spare him a car journey which in itself would have stressed both of us out, and the final bill for the call out, putting him to sleep and individual cremation came to around Ј256.
