I just received a cold call (on my TPS registered number) from someone at CCS telling me that my mortgage had been mis-sold.

He went into the spiel about all these reasons why it had been missold (none of which were actually truthful - such as brokers being required to give the best mortgage available - they are not required do that and indeed for most it is actually impossible for them to do so).

I had a call from a company called Hamnett Marketing informing me that I could be in the wrong council tax band and I could be owed ЈЈ.
I checked with my neighbours and found out that my house is on a different band. How does this work, why am I paying more than others on my street?

We moved house last September to a detached very individual style property. The property had an Improvement marker on it which I was aware of. I did a lot of research before hand and found the last improvements had been done in 1992 and the mortgage valuation and same purchase price where comfortably (Ј40,000) inside the current Council tax band envelope. All the neighbours’ houses are all different sizes, designs and lower bands.

I have finally decided to make a claim for my mortgage PPI.
It is nearly 20 years I have been paying the premium and as this payment was simply rolled into my mortgage payment I think I have a case.
The article talks about getting your payments back +8% interest.
Any idea how this is calculated?
Having got a calculator out the difference between payments plus 8% and each years payment plus 8% for each year is massively different!

Does anyone know anything about a company in Keighley called Unfair Credit Direct. They think that I have a good case for compensation for a Mortgage I took out in August 2003 until September 2005.

A question about : Paying for Peugeot's Just Add Fuel, now have to pay extra charges

Hi everyone,

2 years ago this month I bought a Peugeot 107 on their Just Add Fuel deal. A great little deal (I thought), where for a monthly payment I could drive a new car, get the insurance paid for, and have the servicing all included for the next three years. At the time, my car was literally seconds from breaking down for good, and I was 20. So insurance was more the motivator for this deal than anything else.
