A question about : Reduce interest rate on personal loan

Hello there,

I have a personal loan with NatWest and my monthly payment is Ј226 per month. Over half of this monthly repayment is going on interest alone and I was wondering if I am being overcharged on interest because of this at all?

My loan amount was for Ј7,500 and I think the APR is 19.8% but I am not sure on the rest and I don't have the agreement due to moving as it is in storage at the minute.

I thought I was over the worst having set up a Debt Management Plan and Step Change told me all my creditors were big institutions that they had dealings with and recognised them.

I have debts of about 28K with a plan to pay back over 9 years.

The first piece of correspondence I have had is that Halifax (0 per cent balance transfer about 10 months ago) have rejected the offer.

I am new to this forum but I am after some advice. (I have posted in another section but it was suggested I post here instead!)

We are at the final stages of remortgaging to clear the large debts we have built up over the years. We are taking out more than enough to clear them all which is a relief. I know some people don't suggest remortging to clear debts but they were starting to get unmanageable to seemed the only option.

A question about : Trying to move credit card debt to lower APR options

Hi,
I currently owe Ј11,607 on 2 credit cards with APR of 29.9%.
Trying to find lower rate options, offered a 0% 32 month transfer to Halifax Credit Card but only got offered Ј732.
I accepted it but very depressed about how little I could transfer.
I am desperate to clear my debts as soon as possible as I have primary progressive multiple sclerosis and have no idea how long I will be able to keep working full time.

A question about : Overdraft and credit card clearance help required

I have a credit card with my bank, that has a limit of Ј2700. I also have an overdraft with a limit of Ј1250. The former is almost permanently at the limit, as what I pay each month is almost all going towards interest. The latter is almost at its limit each month, as I have a number of necessary expenditures, as well as an overdraft fee. I would like to clear these down, and I would like some advice on how best to approach this.
