A question about : Mobile internet for business use

Anyone use the internet from a laptop whilst out and about??

I'll be doing this soon and was wondering what kind of service to expect and what it will cost.

Expect a lot of travelling sales people already do this.

I was thinking along the lines of the little Vodafone things that plug into your laptop and I think giove wireless 3G internet access - Sure I've seen this advertised somewhere but not sure what everyone else offers and have no idea about what this costs.

So, any advice apprec.

A question about : 0845 Cheap calls to ordinary ISP's.

I'm new to this so apologies for dimness. Re cheap calls. About 1/3 of my call chargs (BT) are to mt ISP on an 0845 number. Not suffcient usage or requirement to justify BB yet. Whats the deal wityh the cheap suppliers, 1886 etc? I have noticed that some of the bigger guys Talk Talk etc, are a bit sheepish about their rates for connection to 0845 numbers as they are greater than BT.

I'm connected to Orange Your Plan 120, after I have used my inclusive minutes what would be the best service to use for my extra calls ie would it be 18866, 18899, Onetel etc etc... I do get free calls to 0800 free call numbers from Orange so I thought using the 0800 number for 18866 and 18899.

I mostly call landlines, and 0845 and 0870 numbers.

Any comments would be appreciated.

I took delivery of two of these beasts, one yesterday and the other today. The phone is activated when you insert the SIM and switch on. I've done this with one tonight and checked the credit (dial 444). It's only got Ј5.04 credit> There were no vouchers in the packaging. The CPW help line is closed, so i wondered how much credit other folk who have ordered this have received and if there's a different way to get the other tenner?

I may be giving half a story. Whatever, I'll tell you what I learned today in the hopes that someone will confirm and explain if neccessary much better.
