A question about : Wood burning stove, how long to cure the paint/bad smell?

Reading lots of conflicting info on this, the manual states

2.1 To allow the appliance to settle, and fixing glues and paint
to fully cure, operate the appliance at a low temperature for
first few days.
2.2 Do not touch the paint during the first period of use.
2.3 During this time the appliance may give off some unpleasant
odours. Keep the room well ventilated to avoid a build-up of
fumes.

A question about : Npower demanding money for old account

Just got a letter from Npower, demanding 188 pounds. They have not supplied our heating for a year and a half. We got a letter in Jan 2014 saying they had made a computer error on our final bill and were writing off 158 pounds. Heard nothing from them until today.

Can they legally ask for money a year and a bit later?

We paid by direct debit and always ended up paying more than we actually used, so shocked that they never got in contact before.

A question about : Energy Complaints

I am struggling to make an energy complaint.

We moved to a new build. We ascertained who our new supplier was but it took time to set up an account - they had record problems, but also we did not have the basic info we needed to switch to a much cheaper tariff.

I am struggling to find the standards by which the company must comply. I.e a code of practice or similar. Their own website does not have any such document, nor does the regulator.

Payed electric for years on direct debit never seen a statementWe received a complete run down statement of what we used
Opus energy said we were in credit for 3'700.00 pounds we phoned asked for a rebate and said it was wrong, we were on a smart meter months later of leaving these premises there was a statement saying the bill was estimated, can they estimate if you are on a smart meter i also have all the paper work .

Everything is sorted online and by direct debit with paperless billing so I don't always look at my account with them but today I decided to take a look a rare look and noticed I am Ј900 in credit!!!!

Do I have a right to ask for it back or does it have to stay in their account. I cant believe they have never lowered my direct debit.
