A question about : Considering an IVA

I am a teacher and considering an IVA but I have a few questions.

1. Every year as a teacher we move up the pay scale and our pay increases. If I was to take on an IVA would my IVA payment increase in line with my salary increase (Roughly Ј100 increase)?

2. If they did want to increase the monthly payment couldn't I suggest that the cost of living has gone up and therefore the increase would be swallowed up anyway?

Hello all,

After much struggling, IVA is the only option. We've started the ball rolling with Grant Thornton. All ready I feel more like my self & I'm starting to sleep again!!

I still have a couple of concerns, my bridges are burning as I type. I've cancelled all my direct debits and changed my bank account and set up new direct debits to the necessary; utilities, mortgage & insurance etc.

A question about : Food Shopping Has Gone Up Again!!!!

This is just ridiculus

I swear the cost of shopping is rising monthly if not weekly..

A weekly big shop from sainsburys has just cost us Ј150

last week it was Ј130, ok we had a birthday cake in there but all the rest just normal food no extravegance...

we are a family of 5, soon to be 6 as expecting a baby

I have not even thought about how much extra the baby will cost a week....

rent has gone up, fuel bills, utility bills everything seems to be rising insanely high..

A question about : IVA and Stopping Direct Debits

Good morning all.... I have asked questions before with some great advice but please could someone answer the following before i apply for an IVA. I haven't fallen or defaulted on any payments so if i applied for the IVA would i continue to make payments until a decision is made or would it be that i would be advised to stop payments to ensure correct amounts of debts are shown.
