Today we sent off the paperwork requested by our debt advisors! its scary to think that today is the start of us hopfully getting debt free! we have been so busy past few days getting new bank accounts sorted direct debts cancelled or changed, income informed of change!
jsut got 2 more accounts to clear and close and we are all moved and ready!

I have posted this on the IVA board too - sorry for double posting but i wasn't sure which board would be most suited.

Hi, I wondered if anyone had much experience of life after an IVA? My husband has an IVA which is due to finish in 18 months time. He started the IVA before we married and I have good credit (inc a mortgage).

We have been saving as much as poss for to increase our deposit for when we're able to buy a house together.

just wanted ask has any one used pay plan for an iva before and if so were they good?

i am consering an iva with them they say i don't pay them the bank does? i have read mixed reviews about them, just wondered if someone maybe had used them and could advise me about them?

Apparently, according to Maidstone CAB - since we're a couple we have to do the DRO jointly

I know this is wrong.

They also want us to come in with SoAs, and look everything over before letting us talk to anyone, so I can ask how they want the SoAs lol.

Also, I do not think Maidstone CAB even *has* Approved Intermedioaries because the woman in the money advice section did not know what this was.
