Any advice

A question about : Any advice

Can anyone offer any advice please? I have geared myself up to enter into a DMP with CCCS. I have everything pretty much ready - just waiting for the last credit card statements to arrive to add to the pack to send to CCCS.

But a friend of mine - who happens to be a solicitor - has asked me why I am not going IVA instead. He says it would be a better solution for me.... I have a huge amount of debt (Ј42k on one loan, an overdraft and 6 credit cards) and absolutely no assets to my name whatsoever.

DRO Debt Relief Order Application Form Questions

A question about : DRO Debt Relief Order Application Form Questions

Hi, I dont know if this will be of any use to anybody but I have noticed a number of posts from people asking what kind of questions were asked when applying for a DRO, well i'm in the middle of filling the application in so I thought that I would put up the questions on it, this is by no means comprehensive as some other parts pop up if you select certain answers requesting more information, this is solely based on my selections which I class as being pretty standard;

Grant Thornton and my IVA

A question about : Grant Thornton and my IVA

My IVA was paid to Tenon fully paid up in May 2012. Then transfered to GT in the September following the take-over.
Since then I have had a number of arguments on the phone with them regarding them trying to change my terms and conditions of the IVA, mostly with them trying to claim back my PPI while taking a big chunk of it for themselves. I have told them I will renounce any claim I have to PPI before I will let them profit off my debt.

Welcome to the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) board.

A question about : Welcome to the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) board.

About a year ago we published the IVA Guide. This is because IVAs are growing and oft misunderstood. There's always been a bankruptcy and IVA board, yet the size of the site means there's now enough people to split it and focus in on the specific needs of each group.

I hope this board helps those looking at IVAs to decide whether it's right or wrong for them. And enables those with IVAs to live their lives better with the unique challenges it gives.

Life after Trust Deed?

A question about : Life after Trust Deed?

Hi Folks - newbie here so hope I'm posting in the right forum. I'm halfway through a protected trust deed and wonder if someone who has been there has discovered light at the end of the tunnel? (now I think of it, the trust deed was the light at the end of the tunnel for me). But I was wondering if I would be able to easily remortgage or be eligible for other forms of credit and get back to 'normality'. I'd like to be able to move house for various reasons and hoping this will be a possibilty in the future?
