A question about : IVA and a Will

I have 24 months left in my IVA and currently it looks like I will be paying more than what was originally stated.

My mother has Parkinsons and there may be another illness which could end up being terminal. I know that she is leaving me the bulk of her monetary assets which she is going to put in a trust that pays out so much each month as she knows my history with money and wouldn't want to give me it all in one go which I don't blame her.

Step change sent my husband's DRO application off on Wednesday at around 2pm. We have read that the insolvency service only take 48 hours to make a decision but he can't find any information on the register and is now panicking that he's been refused/ will be refused.

A question about : How is a car on HP affected by a DRO

I have very old debts owned by DCA's and I'm sick of being chased for them and have been advised to do a DRO, I rent my house, have no assets, but I do have a car on HP, only had it since September last year. I don't work as I have 2 registered disabled sons and need the car for getting them around. What will happen to my car if I do a DRO ? Thanks in advance for any help

A question about : iva and equity on mortgage

I took out an IVA nearly 5 years ago and thought I was coming to the end, I received a letter today stating as I'm now in the 54th month they will be looking to collect equity from my home !
Turns out it is in the small print but it was never mentioned during any interviews with my case worker I was told once the 5 years was up I would be debt free !!!!
Has anyone come across this and have any advice as I feel duped Ive already been paying up to Ј300 for majority of the repayments.😠
