A question about : flood risk assessment

I have had a planning application rejected on flood risk grounds, with very little assiatnce on what to do next. the application is for a new build 3 bed house and has never flooded (in the last 25 years!) there is a small dariange ditch about 30m away amd is cleared on a regualr basis.

i have done some research and found some companies that maybe able to help but these charge a fortune.

Anyone used someone good and cheap!!!

A question about : leaking roof

Last night I heard a loud dripping in my bedroom and noticed that the architrave leading from the bedroom to the bathroom was dripping in about 4 areas.
I'm a single mum with no idea of what to do, it's Sunday so I am assuming I won't be able to call any roofers out (it's my own house, not council).
Any advise?

A question about : Leaking Roof in Block of Flats

Quite a bit of water coming through the communal stair roof in flats. Not sure if there is a roof tile/pointing or gutter problem.

I own my flat (middle landing) but of the 5 others, 3 are rented and 1 is currently empty.

Tenants are foreign and speak little/no English so I cannot get details of who they rent from. There is no factor.

Any suggestions as to what I can do. Whilst the water is only coming in on the landing above I do not want the roof damaged any further.

I am a Civil Engineering student from Sheffield undertaking a major study on flooding in the UK. I am looking for victims of flooding in their property to please fill out my short survey. It takes less than 2 minutes to fill out and will help to highlight areas in need of flood defense measures.

If you could please fill out the survey i would be very grateful. As a resident of Sheffield, i saw first hand the devastation of the 2007 floods and sympathise fully with anyone who has endured the nightmare of flooding!

Anyone out there used this company? are they ok? is it worth it, they clean/repair/and seal your roof,... apart from looking nice? thanks
