A question about : Clean slate finally, now where do i start?

Evening all,

After a long six year wait my final default fell off my account today

I am due to move into my own rented accommodation at the end of the month so i will be signing up to the electoral role then. What steps do i take after this?

Should my car insurance, mobile contract be shown on my credit file? This would definitely be in my favour due to never missing a payment on these.

A question about : Are credit reference agencies government regulated?

I'd like to know why they're held in such high regard without any doubt of their legitimacy by banks and lenders the country over. Surely there's some legislation they have to adhere to in order to confirm that the information they have is true - something other than he said she did this, so we hold that information.

A question about : Why do people waste money with the online credit reports

I dont understand why people waste money on monthly subscriptions for various credit reference agency when you can get the report anytime for Ј2.00 by post

It makes no sense......

A question about : NPower suddenly appears on my file

I've been with NPower for about 3 years and they've never appeared on my credit file until now, why is this? I've been in credit, in debit, in credit again, either or they've still never showed up until now. Any ideas?

I've signed up for my free trial of Credit Expert. It tells me that my credit score is 960, which equates to Good.

Sorry if this post is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to post it.

I thought I would check noodle.co.uk to see if my score matched up with my score on Credit Expert.

I put my card details in, for 'verification purposes' including 3 digit code on reverse, name on card and of course card number.

For some reason it couldn't verify me, and just told me to try again another time.

A question about : The Abuse of the Credit Rating System

It saddens me to think that the the vast majority of british citizens are at the unscrupulous hands of the Credit Rating Systems.
No doubt if you work at one of these places you'll probably have a fantastic credit rating (now that would make an interesting survey), but for the rest of us, we fall into at least four categories.
Those that pay regularly and never miss a payment (usually earn enough not to care too much)
