A question about : csa calculator

Just been playing round with the figures using the csa calculator, it seems the more a person earns the more money they have to pay. Now am I missing something as surely a child doesn't become more expensive the more the parent earns?!?

A question about : CSA when a father is not listed on a birth certificate?

Hi,

I am puzzled as I've heard confusing advice - some people told me it does not matter if the father is not on a birth certificate, I could still pursue CSA, some say it's not possible in such a case.

I decided not to put him on as I don't want him to obstruct things. I think he would make it difficult for the baby t get a passport and go abroad to see my family, etc. And I don't want my baby to have his nationality as then she would require visa to get virtually anywhere :-(

A question about : When does Child Maintenance stop?

My 16 yr DS lives with his dad and I pay voluntary maintenance as he is at college full time doing a BTEC. He has an interview tomorrow to go for a modern apprenticeship where he works 4 days and attends college 1 day to get his HNC. I presume If he gets this I don't have to pay maintenance any more?
Have been on the CSA website which is as useful as a chocolate teapot, no way will I ring them!!
Hope someone has experience of this!!

A question about : CSA question

My friends ex is a serving soldier in Iraq and prior to leaving the country he cancelled his standing order to the CSA so that no maintenance would be paid for his son. According to the CSA there is nothing they can do as he is out of the country and the army are not cooperative with the CSA.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Also apparently he gets paid an extra Ј50 per day whilst he is out there. Does anyone know if this can be classed as a change of circumstances and the extra included in the calculation?

A question about : until what age do you pay child maintenance?

Can anyone please confirm what age you should pay child maintenance till if your child continues education after the age of 16. I pay my maintenace volunteraly (ie; not by court order or through CSA) but I have been given unofficial conflicting views as to whether it is until my child is 18 or 19, or even 21 if they go onto university?.
