  • There were two of these available in my Aldi, one with stuffing and one without, did you pick up the wrong one ?
I didn't buy one because for another quid you can get a large Ashfield Farm chicken and stuff it yourself ! You can also buy a pack of roasting bags in the pound shop.
What preparation were you doing to it ? All you have to do it cut a hole in the bag !
  • keep your packaging and return it to your local aldi (receipt too)- you wont even need the chicken! The customer service in Aldi is excellent
  • Go back to Aldi and say I want stuffing please.
  • So, where does it say that Aldi sold 100% horsemeat products ? Between 30% and 100% is what i read.
You don't need to trawl through my posts to see what i said, i'll tell you. I've already said it, i don't mind if food contains horsemeat.
  • lets not forget the hallal products that were "mistakenly" marked as hallal , but not spotted by the MFG or the importer or the wholesaler ,
  • Its recommended (no i don't know who by, i don't care and no i can't be bothered to find a link, just something i heard at some point in the past)
that you don't stuff your chicken as the stuffing is blocking the heat getting right into the cavity to cook though, unless of course you have the thermometer gadget that you can use whilst cooking to keep checking the temp to ensure its fully cooked all over.
Just a mere suggestion use a loaf tin with a liner and cook stuffing separate.
  • I recall seeing similar advice - may even have been Saturday Kitchen or another cookery show.
  • I can't say I would fancy eating that had been stuffed in a chicken anyway, especially if it had been hanging around in a supermarket chiller for a week. I always put whatever I have to hand inside the chicken and make separate stuffing balls.

Surely if you bought it from Aldi you should take it back to them?????
