A question about : Who Knows Free Telephone Number of Scottish Power

Who knows any landline telephone number or 0800 / 0500 number for the Customer Service Dept of Scottish Power? They always asked customers to ring their 0845 number which will charge 4-5p per minute! BTW, my ntl package allows free landline calls so ideally I am looking for a landline no. for SP.

Their sales team with a 0800 number used to help customers to transfer phone calls to the relevant departments but now refused to do so.

Can anybody who knows such telephone number come to help?

Many thanks!

  • Try Say no to 0870 - there is quite a few numbers listed for Scottish Power.

  • this is the free phone number for scottish power 0800 400 200 , i used it today , it cost me Ј1.60p to get this number , these companies dont advertise it anywhere , you must phone 08708 032 467 to speak to someone , to get free phone number , i hope this is ok , ............
  • Despite the thread being almost 3 years old at least you now not to use these 0845 or being charged Ј1.600 a simply search on site above pulls up a several numbers for them
  • Thanks for this, my fella called them and spent Ј10 trying to sort gas out as they take Ј7 from every Ј10 because I have arrears!!!
  • After two costly but infuriating (didn't get thru) calls to Scottish Power on 0845 numbers, I rang 0800 number and like LondonGirl got through immediately.
    Information is power!
  • 0800 400 200
  • 0800 400 200 still works (19.12.2011). Thanks Michaelliu for finding this.
  • Hey Guys. If like me, you only have a mobile and dont want to break the bank calling the premium or "free" number. Try calling 0141 568 6806. Choose the option you are looking for. If by chance they say that particular department cant help your inquiry and attempt to give you another number to call. Respectfully remind the advisor of your initial waiting time and that its a low rate number your calling and ask them to re-direct your call !! This works.

  • I have a small flat with storage heating there are 2 meters one for heating, one for lights ect. I have tried to change my supplier but i have been told the meters belong to scottish power and no other supplier can take over, I am told it is economy 10, and to leave this company i would have to pay someone to install another meter or pay the dreadfull amounts they charge me. Surely i cannot be held captive by scottish power should i contact the regulator can anyone advise please, One piece of good news is i recenty heard all storage heaters are to be scrapped by 2015 it seems by law can anyone confirm this
  • Hi,
wow, thread nearly 7 years old.
Only certain companies offer the E10 tariff.
Economy 10 tariffs consist of 10 hours of off-peak electricity, which suppliers offer at a reduced rate. Like economy 7, this tariff suits households that have storage heaters and appliances that can be set to run at particular times. Unlike economy 7, economy 10 customers not only enjoy 7 hours of discounted electricity overnight, they also get an extra 3 hours in the afternoon.
E.ON, Southern Electric and EDF all offer economy 10 tariffs.
I would think you are wrong about storage heaters being scrapped.
There are millions of houses with them, I have them, they are efficient and generally maintenance free, used properly, they aren't too expensive.
