A question about : Where can I get empty baby food jars for free?
Hi
Does anybody know where I can get empty baby food jars for free please? I want to use them for craft projects and also to store small craft supplies.
I don't really know anyone with young children. I've also tried Freecycle a couple of times last year, but no replies.
Any suggestions please?
Cheers.
Best answers:
- Just print out on a few cards that you collect the empty jars. Pop down your local supermarket, hang around the baby food shelves and hand the cards out to the women who are buying the stuff.
- wander around on bin day and when you see some, knock on doors to ask if you can take them out of the recycling bin
As an alternative for baby food jars, i use the ones that mustard or sauces come in. Most people have these to give you, or if you need to buy them, you can usually get a basics jar for about 25p and just chuck contents away (its still cheaper than buying proper crafting jars) - Hi Scotsbob and Flea72, many thanks for your suggestions.
