A question about : Just found out info off severn trent

Hello everyone. Can anyone help.

I had severntrent on my door yesterday as there is a problem in nearby river, some dishwasher water!!!

Happily it is not me but, I didn't know my RAIN water goes to river. It comes down pipes into a gulley off to a drain in the back field then the river...

But I heard somewhere you don't pay if your water goes to the river?
Is this correct?

It says in the article that having a water meter may effect your house price when you sell your house. However, in my experience when i moved house last August I was told by the water company that I had to have a water metter fitted.

Apparently, they say, anyone moving into a house now must have a water meter fitted - This was Southern Water, but they said it was a nationwide regulation that this should happen.

So, if that is true, then it should not effect your house price.

Hi All,
I received a water bill from Southern Water last year for a staggering Ј2200. I spoke to Southern Water who advised it was very likely there was a leak somewhere and to get a plumber to check it. I contacted a plumber who turned off the water a tap under the sink and checked the meter in the ground just outside my driveway, the meter was still moving.

A question about : Not Paying Your Water Bill

I moved into a property owned by a family member about 2 or 3 years ago. The guy who lived here before seemed to owe some on his water bill, probably half a years worth of money.

The last letter they sent was a few months ago now, asking for like 500 and something quid. I haven't paid them anything since i moved in.

Technically i probably owe them between 3 or 400.

They address the letters to the guy who used to live here.
