A question about : Virgin Media
My daughter and son in law are in the process of moving house but the new house does not support Virgin. They asked to cancel their account but Virgin are asking for Ј240 for the remainder of their account. Is this right? Surely it is not the householder at fault but the company as the area does not support cable TV only satellite or freeview, otherwise they would stay with Virgin. Any advice welcome.
Best answers:
- They are at fault not VM they are moving its that simple and the subject of multiple posts .Contract was at x address for xx months not at any address so they are breaking the contract and its due to be paid up .
- It's not Virgin's fault that they have chosen a house in a non-cabled area.
- As this seems to come up daily, is there any way we can sticky the answer to this question and have it surrounded by flashing lights with a 'Have Virgin and moving house? Click here!'
- The contract is at the current address, and VM does not undertake to cover every other UK address. Your daughter is choosing to move and break the contract, not VM.
