I currently live in the Mess during the week and go home to my own property at weekends. I am single and pay for the accommodation, whereas married unaccompanied dont.... why the difference?

Its PAYD so thats not an issue.

A question about : Council Tax discount?

I am in the RAF and own a house with my girlfriend (who is also in). She lives in the house and I, now, live in the Mess on my new station 200+ miles away.

I only manage to get home 2-3 wknds a month and the mess is classed as my primary residence by the RAF (well it is on JPA).

My question is, can we get a council tax reductions as there is only 1 person living in our home? The council in question is Richmondshire district council.

I have been in the Army for 4 years this coming January and for the last year and a half I have been on physio for compartment syndrome which is due to my bio mechanics in my legs and the way which I am shaped.

In my opinion, all military personnel are heros and a lot more should be done to reward them for their hard work and courage.

Lets not forget that ultimately military personnel sign over their lives for our freedom.

Please can someone explain how I fill in the RTF for the Veterans badge.

I am totally confused by the number of boxes and do not know whether to use the large spaces or the little ones.

A question about : SFA grades

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can find out SFA grades before applying? We have lived in Scotland for 7 uears and moving to Portsmouth in a few months and just trying to get info before applying fur a house (we have to wait for official draft anyway) as the new job is a big drop in pay SFA charges are going to be important when deciding on area.

I have been on the RAF Brize Norton website looking at flights so is it true that you can get flights to destinations for holiday purposes & what is the us the usual routine with booking these flights? im guessing they are alot cheaper?
