  • It's wine or chocolates. I don't think it's good value.
  • The linked page says "2 Starters + 2 Mains + 2 Desserts +1 bottle of drink or 1 box of chocolates for Ј20". However it then lists products under headings "Choose 2 main dishes", "Choose 2 side dishes" "Choose 2 desserts" and "Choose 1 bottle of wine or 1 box of chocolates".
    "Side Dishes" does seem to be the correct description. Who wants a plate of mashed potato as a starter?
    Usually Tesco offers 1 main (serving two people), 1 side (serving two people), 1 dessert (serving two people) and a bottle of wine or a non-alcoholic drink for Ј10. This offers dishes serving just one person. Ideal for anyone eating alone on Valentines day or couples who are incompatible!
    Double the usual price for the option of the chocolates instead of wine?
    Update: "Starter" has now been corrected to "side dish".
  • I saw this offer in store yesterday and agree that it seems very expensive for what it is. It also seems daft (and a waste of packaging) for the mains/deserts to be single portions.
