I want to enquire about our status for child and working tax credits

Brief intro

My wife is french national working 16 hours a week on nat min wage started in oct 2012.
I am working in shell garage 19 hours a week and occassionly 1 or max 2 shifts of 8 hours a week including 19 hours started this month am non eu national applied for residence card last month

A question about : Income Tax and Tax Credits

From June 2011 until October 2012 I unfortunately found myself in the position of being unemployed and claiming JSA.

I got my first pay last month with my new job and didnt have any PAYE Deduction (did have one for NI however). I believe this was due to my tax code of 810L meaning I have to earn over Ј8100 in tax year before paying PAYE. Is this correct?

My wife use to be on incapacity benefit until it was removed. use to work before leaving due to tumor. (not life threatening ) She is fully up to date with national insurance contributions. Would she be able to claim job seekers allowance?

She has tried to find work but as yet no joy. I work 40 hrs +. I think that after paying your stamp etc she should be able to claim.

A question about : ex-partner and I split up, now claiming single tax credits

Hi,

My partner and I have split up (her decision) which I have finally accepted (can't force her to stay!). We have two children, aged 2 and 4, who my ex-girlfriend admits is 60% daddy 40% for her, and with the split she wants myself to be involved alot in their life as I have always been lucky with my job and helped to bring up the kids (I work nights but I'm available in the daytime).

I have a bit of a problem. I’m not sure if I am posting in the right place but would be grateful for any advice.

I have had a letter from HMRC (tax credits) stating that they would like to review my claim and asking me to provide receipts and invoices from my childcare provider, as well as any contracts.

Hi , I have been a lurker on here for many years and after all the useful advice and information i have found have decided to post.
I have been in receipt of tax credits since february 2011.I will give you some background info about my situation , I am married and a british citizen, my husband is from Turkey and been living in the Uk since feb 2008.I currently work over the 30hours a week and im 26 years old.My husband Currently does not work.
