Stoozing: Free Cash from Credit Cards

A question about : stoozing query

i have egg and marbles cc. just come to the end of stooze with marbles and nearing the egg stooze end. not really sure what to do now... is there any point in keeping the marbles card. should i cancel it and try to get another card. when and how do i know when this anniversiary thing is with egg (9 months is up on 1st september). any advice welcome please

A question about : Always have a SBT handy or the system fails

This may be a silly or obvious question but here goes.

I have been stoozing for 7 months or so now and had an EGG card which has now finished its 0% period. As I change cards and add cards, what is most important, shouldn't I always make sure I have a SBT card so I can get to the money?

Apologies if this has been discussed and been shot out of the sky, this is just a sanity check to see if it's possible. I'm already playing my 0% cards to their full advantage, but I've got a reasonable limit on my old Halifax card and I'd like to game that one too if I can. Here's the idea:

Let's say my Halifax 9.9% Visa is at Ј0, my Virgin SBT is at -Ј10,000, my current account is at Ј0, and my stooze savings are at Ј10,000.

Ok,

I started last year on this 0% band waggon. With egg I got 13K. I moved 5k to Natwest and they only gave me a Max 5.5K !!

I phoned and they said I had reached my personal credit. Very rude and basically wanted to get me off the phone.

Is this true ?

If so does this mean if I cancel all my old cards I can get a new one with a higher limit..

Whats going on ? Is there a FAQ that will answer all this for me ?

A question about : Moving money from Egg

I've now created positive balance on my Egg card, do i click on balance transfer on the left hand side > current account / overdraft > then input my current account details and thats it?

having used mint, egg and MNBA over this last 18 months to super balance to my bank accoount, i found myself stuck for other super balance transfer options ... instead i applied to capital one since they had zero charge on normal balance transfers and moved their very favourable o% credit limit onto my Mint and Amex cards, but neither card had any debt.

I have just applied for a Virgin card online and am awaiting the paperwork through the post.

I am already wondering whether I have made a mistake but think I am ok. Can someone confirm this?

The form asked if I wanted to balance transfer from another card. As I have no outstanding debts, I said no.

I am assuming this does not affect my transfer of the credit limit to my bank when all goes through?
