A question about : How a bout a life after debt board?

Hello,

I was just wondering if there are any plans to introduce a board for those who are out of debt and trying to remain that way? Life after debt and all that!

There must be quite a few 'Debt-Free-Bies' out there now (thanks to MSE!) who I'm sure would benefit from it. It may also help and encourage both long-haul and newbie DFWs if they have a point of reference for hearing about success stories.

A question about : How do you find out who thanked you?

Sorry peeps but the thanks button has come back, someone has thanked me & I cant suss out how to see who is was. Can anyone shed any light pretty please! Ta muchly o expert ones!

UPDATE NOTE Friday 4pm: Wow. Thanks for all the feedback and bug spotting. The site is mostly working well, but with the odd glitch here and there. We've worked hard today to get most of the basic ones fixed so the site is up and running well. Thought there are a good few more to go. The MSE techie team were up all night getting it up and running, so only a few more tweaks are possible today - as I've sent em home. Martin

Is anyone else experiencing unusually long times in connecting from the main page to the threads? It takes ages.

A question about : New reputation system

We all now have a new icon under our avatars where members can give each other a rating when they think a post is particularly useful.

Like the post count system, there are different levels of reputation according to the number of ratings a member has received. This should give a better idea of the quality of members' posts.

A question about : why have our star names changed? [Merged]

Just noticed that the titles under the username have changed, when did they changed?

Mine now reads Moneysaving Inhabitant (I've no time for the real world this site is my home), used to be something like completely over the top dont you have homes to go to?

Hi folks,

Today (Mon 24 May 10) we've launched a major cosmetic revamp of the MSE forum, the first in four years.

We hope you like it - its cleaner, easier to navigate and the forum text starts higher up the page so you can see more of the discussion and lots of small tweaks too.

Do let us know what you think of it (though the team and I have put 100s hours of hard work in, so if you don't like it be gentle).

A question about : Forum Redesign Tomorrow...

Now I know such a phrase will scare the pants off many regulars. Yet don't worry, we're going to trial some very very minor cosmetic tweaks; the aim to make the forum look just a little bit cleaner.

It's purely cosmetic, no changes in functionality or operation. So do see if you can spot it tomorrow (it won't be that easy)

You may want to take a screen grab of the forum now to spot the differences.
