SAR request to Littlewoods or Lowell?

A question about : SAR request to Littlewoods or Lowell?

Hello to all and I hope you can help. I had a Littlewoods account which I then become unable to pay. It appears they then sold the debt to Lowell who Defaulted me straight away. However Lowell are stating Littlewoods Defaulted me and added charges and then sold the debt to Lowell (all within a week) for the increased price (The default amount on my file is lower than the amount Lowell state I owe them). On my credit file there isn’t an input by Littlewoods regarding the debt but one input by Lowell on the month of Default. What I would like is all the information relating to charges etc plus who by and when I was actually Defaulted as I am not getting a set answer from Lowell at all, and, when I ask for information they send a one page inaccurate statement apparently provided by Littlewoods. I say it is inaccurate as they have many things I ordered within the last 3 years but on the so-called statement I have not made a single payment in the last 3 years which is incorrect, and if it were correct they were providing me with goods for well over a year while I wasn’t repaying them anything which would be very poor judgement by them! So my question is who do I send a SAR to, to gain this information? I have it in writing from Lowell that they are the ‘data controller of the account but the information is held by Littlewoods’ so who exactly has all the information I want regarding this debt?

• SAR them both. That way if they try to pass the buck you will have one or both by the 'danglies'.
• To be honest that was what I was thinking, I was just wondering if I can gain all the information without having to pay the 2 x Ј10 fees.
• The SAR response I got from the shop direct group left a lot to be desired...it was pretty poor.
  It did at least have a copy of all statements.
  I suspect lowell bought the account, are responsible for updating your credit report, but littlewoods hold most of the data.
  I would start with SAR to Littlewoods and see what comes back.
  How old is the account?
• Well I think I opened the account sometime in 2006 and was Defaulted Feb 2012.
  How poor is poor when it comes to the Shop Direct group providing information relating to a SAR? I don't hold much hope but surely they have to provide at least something relating to the Default date otherwise how would they themselves know you were defaulted if there is nothing on their system?
• Send Lowell a CCA request. They will likely need to get it from littlewoods.
  They need the signed original to get a CCJ so worth knowing what they have before they start making threats. Or was it taken out online?
  The littlewoods SAR should include a copy if they have one.

  I doubt they would pursue me for a CCJ as I have been paying them Ј12 a month for over a year and am only asking for the information since these charges have come to light and they are saying it was Littlewoods who added the charges but then it was them who Defaulted me and the charges were added after so none of it actually makes any sense.
