MegaBus seem to have some ticket for Ј0.00. i have only checked Cardiff to London, it seem to be for travel mid January to end of February.

A question about : Cyclists

I'm still waiting for the Helmet Debate on the new forum section .

I'm not anti-helmet, but choose to wear one only in bad weather, and only recently gave up motorcycling after being cut up once too often, this time by a speeding lorry driver, so I know how some things can dent your confidence, but the sight of a middle-aged man in hi-vis and helmet riding on the pavement made my blood boil.

A question about : should cyclists be treated as road-users, or pedestrians?

As a recent recruit to the world of 'non-drivers', I am impressed by the willingness of drivers generally to give way to pedestrians, especially on zebra crossings.

But, as an ex-professional-driver, I know that drivers are under no obligation to give way to cyclists, even when they are about to push or wheel their bike across a zebra crossing.

A question about : Cyclists

I'm not talking about the ones who try and mow you down so they can add another cyclist sticker to the side of their vehicle!

More of the subtle unthinking actions that come from assuming the roads only belong to them.

My personnal annoyance is a queue of traffic, and the obligitory 1 in 4 that position themselves 6 inches from the kerb. You sit there with the choice to go into the middle of the road or around them on the pavement (wonder how many of those who moan about cyclists on pavements do this?)

Who don't Wear a 'FUDGING CYCLE HELMET'!!!

What is your problem? I commute about 16 miles a day on a bike and the number of cyclists i see without helmets is alarming, and from what i can see on the increase.

I personally don't care if you smash your head on the concrete and put yourself in a 'vegative state' for the rest of your lives, after all you won't know much about it.

But your family and friends who will now have to spend the rest of their lives caring for you...i do care about.

A question about : Freedom at last...

Hi - I'm new on here, and I recently quit truck-driving, sold my car, and began cycling and riding the buses (it's called retirement).

But I haven't yet worked out why so many cyclists are so willing to place themselves in mortal danger, and then blame anybody except themselves when they get hit.

A question about : Why do grown men ride on the pavement?

Smallish village. Good wide roads. Good visbility.

So why do so many blokes ride on the pavement like small children? I see maybe two or three a day when it isn't raining.

And while I'm on my soapbox. When you ride past me on the trails and I've put my dog on his lead so he doesn't get in your way. Would be be really be expecting too much for you to mutter Thanks as you ride by?

Really looking forward to the answers as I'm genuinely curious about both of these.
