A question about : Ppi help

I keep getting phone calls from PPI Reclaim companies.... Saying I might be owed some money back from hidden PPI CHARGES... so of course in intrigued whether or not this is true... However I don't wanna be paying 30%+
what I need help with is... I've never taken ppi out with any previous loans or credit cards...
so could this be true? And if so, if I'm going to claim myself... where and how do I go about it???
I checked out the ppi claim how to on this site but I found it all confusing...
Any help will be much appreciated you will be helping me immensely
