A question about : Dogs Anal Glands (sorry!!!!)

Please can anyone advise on this lovely subject.

My two and a half year old male neutered beagle has recently started occasionally dragging/scooting his bottom on the carpet.

He doesnt appear to be in any discomfort. Is still eating drinking walking playing same as usual but i am a little worried in case i should be doing doing something.

I rang the vet and they want Ј27 to express his anal glands!!!!!

Any ideas pet lovers!!!!

A question about : Wainwright's Dog Food

Hi,

I posted earlier asking about changing my dog's diet to a BARF diet to try and improve his skin.

I have been on the Pets at Home website and seen Wainwright's dog food which is specifically formulated to be gentle on dogs digestion by excluding ingredients that commonly cause allergies.

It is Ј36.99 for 15kg and I was wondering if anyone has tried or is currently feeding their dog this food and if it has helped to improve their dog's skin?

A question about : Best household flea killer?

I am not talking about flea killer for putting on cats, but can anyone recommend a good flea killer for the house. We dont seem to have many but just one flea on my son makes him look like he has some spotty disease as each hop of the flea is a massive red blistering mark and then a huge scab.He looks like a dot to dot puzzle!

I'm currently using Frontline on my dog which seems to work ok for him, I'm assuming if the active ingredient is the same then it's just like buying a generic brand rather than Neurofen say.... IYKWIM!

A question about : pet porte catflap

has anybody got one of these? they are the microchip activated cat flaps that only your cat can get through. i suspect that a neghbours cat is upsetting our 2. i have seen rosie spraying up neighbours cars( didn't know girls sprayed) AND THERE IS A CATTY SMELL round the front door sometimes, but not all the time.

these cat flaps look great but are very pricey so i want some opinions before i descide to buy.

A question about : Best cheap cat litter?

Hi folks, I don't normally post over here but as it's a cat thing I thought you might be able to help!

I have recently moved house and no longer have a cat flap (it's rented so I can't put one in). My 4.5 year old boy likes being indoors and won't go outside for more than about 5 minutes - he's a timid lad. So, obviously, he is now doing his thing inside and it's costing me a fortune in cat litter.

A question about : How much for dogs annual booster jab?

My dog is 14 months old(mad springer spaniel!)& is due his annual booster jab, just phoned vets to book it and they told be it would cost £29.82!
I was expecting about £20, does this price vary from vet to vet or is it a standard price?

A question about : How much does it cost to keep a cat?

We are thinking of getting a Kitten/Cat and I wondered if all you cat lovers out there could give me the in's and out's of Insurance, Worming Tablets, Vet Bills, Flea Collars etc etc etc
