A question about : George Osborne MUST now U-Turn 'Granny Tax'!

George Osborne has done a partial U turn over the Pasty Tax, the Caravan Tax and the Charity Tax amongst over 30 others. He MUST now do another U-turn in respect of the hated 'Granny Tax'.

Because George Osborne 'FROZE' the Elderly Tax Allowance at Ј10,500 forever in his recent budget, present tax paying pensioners will be around Ј83 a year out of pocket from April 2013.

A question about : 25% tax free cash (TFC) from pension not guaranteed?

Well, no - as we know, governments like to fiddle with policies, but this is the first time I've come across articles that have actually articulated the fact that the TFC is not guaranteed, and the option to collect it may be removed.

From 6th April 2009 certain people are able to buy an additional 6 years of NI contributions dating back to 1975.

If I am already in receipt of state pension at less than 100%, and buy sufficient years to increase my pension to 100%, will the increased pension be paid (a) from the date the additional NI contributions are made, or (b) from commencement of payment of state pension?

I am 28 yrs old, female and have just joined the Civil Service 'Premium' pension scheme, which no longer offers a lump sum on completion, and works on 1/60 contributions. I have about 5yrs worth of my old NHS pension scheme stored. I have the following questions:
