My exOH has openly admitted to having run b\ckground checks such as credit checks and criminal record checks on myself and several members of his own family (only those who are involved in our childrens's lives.)

He claims to work for a security company set up by himself and several ex-army/ex-police force types in the Arab States. He also claims that it is in his interest to know exactly who is involved with his children, and their background.

A question about : Sitting Tenant's Rights?

My son is in Private rented accommodation and agreed that it would be a Long Term Let wit the Landlady. He has been there now for 2 years and his Landlady has now decided to sell the Flat as an Investment Property with Sitting Tenants (i.e. My son and girlfriend) through the original Estate Agents who he went through. If someone buys the property, can they give my son Notice to move out, does he have any rights as a sitting tenant? He is quite worried that they could give him notice to quit. Thanks

I have worked for safestyle now since August last year.

I signed a contract of terms and conditions stating my rights and that i was classed as self-employed.

I have always been part-time due to the fact they cant supply enought leads to make the job worth doing without making a loss.

A question about : Claiming deceased parents shares

Hi, I wondered if you can answer a question as I am at a loss on where to go, My wifes father passed away 2005 and we have just came across two cheques for a fair amount of money, it looks like he had shares but the cheques are dated 2006, we came across them as we where clearing out loft where most things where put after his death, somehow these cheques were not seen. due to the time difference and was some time ago is it possible to claim these?

I moved into a new build property in 2008. I am a housing association tenant and the apartments are a mixed development. 140 are private and 148 are part buy and social housing. We have just received our bill for water and heating after waiting 3 years as they did not know what way to bill us.

A question about : Rejected Warranty Claim

Hi,

I bought skis at the start of last winter for the coming season 2011-2012. When using them on the mountain one of the skis snapped. I was advised by an expert in resort that this would be a simple warranty claim.

On getting home an 'expert' representing the manufacturer has deemed that there must have been impact damage to the tip to cause the ski to snap. This is simply not what happened.
