A question about : Octavia rear springs

Hi all,

I'd be grateful for advice on the following no doubt simple questions.

I have a 2005 Octavia with one broken rear suspension spring. My questions are:

1) Should I replace both springs, or is it reasonable to just replace the broken one? I plan to keep running the car for a few years yet if this makes a difference.

2) Will the wheel alignment need checking/adjusting after the repair?

A question about : What 7 seater?

I had a Kia Sedona which died so I bought a citroen grand picasso.

But...I just don't like it. It is too small and the rear 2 seats are tiny and not good legroom.

Would anyone recommend another 7 seater that actually has 7 decent sized seats and not the 5 plus 2 like the citroen.

A question about : van or large estate car/MPV?

Need to hire a vehicle to move my son from Edinburgh to Bristol(contents of flat). Trying to work out if a small van or large car will be best. Can anyone advise eg how a Vauxhall Combo 1.3D would compare to an estate car or MPV, roughly speaking. The Van is shown as having 2.39іm capacity.

We previously fitted all his stuff into a Ford Focus Hatchback with the seats down, plus a roof box

A question about : MK5 2.0 GT FSI Golf / Yaris T3 1.3

My wife is needing to replace her 2002 plated 1.2 Corsa. Not because she wants to but there's too much going on with it.

She has about a Ј2k budget but that doesn't mean she wants to spend as close to it as possible. She'd rather not but that's what she can go to.

At a garage this week i noticed a Mk5 2.0 GT FSI Golf, silver, 3 door for Ј1,895. Rear windows tinted (although they'd be getting removed).
Only thing is that's as much as i know. No idea on mileage or anything.

Hi, I will try and be brief.

I bought a car in August last year from a large reputable garage

The day after i got it home i noticed some accident damage to the passenger side plastic sill that had been filled

I went straight back to the garage and they were very fair and said they would put it right.

They replaced the sill and painted it and I thought it was a very good job at the time

Now i have just noticed the door is rubbing on the sill and removing the paint

I bought a car: Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec 2009 model. Prior to buying, as I don't know anything about the cars, I got an RAC inspection done. It was a basic check which costs around Ј99. The car was checked and report was sent to me.

Hi

Can anyone advise me on my window workings, does my drivers door suppose to go down an inch when opened and then when closed it goes back up? What it is my drivers window when I close the drivers door it seams to catch on the roof and then I have to wind down the window and then wind it up for it to fit into the seal of the roof?
