A question about : How much cash needed for mortgage?

I have rented for years but am now starting to think about buying and have no clue about mortgages. So how much do you need behind you before banks will even consider offering you a mortgage?

A question about : what interest rate am I on???

hi everyone - silly question - but if my mortgage was taken out for for Ј44000 and my repayments are currently Ј342 pcm over 20 years (repayment mortgage), then what is my interest rate? I used to be good at this but my brains gone all fuzzy since being a stay at home mum with baby!!

A question about : reference authority form

Is this standard practice and what will it be used for?

• This will give your authority for the lender to obtain references.
• So i'm guessing this is to contact my work since that's the only logical source? i applied for a mortgage last year but the sale collapsed, i never signed this form then. so is this now common practice?

A question about : Fixed Rate Mortgage Does Not Show Repayment Fee After Initial Period

My mortgage proposal for a 2 year fixed interest mortgage -after which it becomes variable- shows an early repayment fee of 3% in the first year and an early repayment fee of 2% in the second year.

It does however not state what the fee will be after that period has passed. There is a chance that I might be in a position to repay the full amount after 2 years, so I'm curious to know how this works. I read my documents three times now, but nowhere does it state anything on this.

A question about : Mortgage with 1 satisfied default

Hi all - just posted in the credit file thread also about the issue of the default.

(it is for a payday loan we never had, QuickQuid / Pounds to Pocket fraud team are supposed to be dealing with it, but they aren't responding!)

So there is a default on my partners credit file for this loan he never had and the default is showing as satisfied (loan amount Ј1,600 for 1 year) Default date September 2013.

A question about : Own LTD Company

Hi,

I'm the Director of my own LTD company. The Company was incorporated on October 24th 2014, and has been an enormous success, currently generating profits in excess of Ј30,000 per month. I own 85% of the company.

I pay myself and my partner a minimal salary (for tax purposes mostly) and take the rest of my remuneration in the form of monthly Dividends. I have complete control over how much I pay myself from the Company, and the Company's own revenue stream is very stable.

A question about : Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...

Waiting nervously for a final answer on our mortgage with the Halifax.
AIP given in April, offer accepted end of June , valuation done,last week, application went in yesterday.....
Worried sick.....
Anyone else in the same position right now?
