A question about : Mortgage-Free (soon) advice please

We are about to come to the end of a 7 year capped rate term, we initially borrowed Ј52k so think that the balance will be approx Ј44k. We are looking to pay off Ј30k off the balance and are looking for advice as to which is the cheapest and quickest way to pay off the remaining Ј14k?
Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated as am new to all this.

  • Get a morgage where you can pay unlimited overpayments, Get a morgage for the full amount you owe then pay off the Ј30K Imediately (you will struggle to get a 14 K morgage and your unlikely to find a loan at the same rate as a morgage.
