A question about : Mat leave and pregnancy dates.

My new job has added mat leave benefits, 6 months at 50% pay after the initial 6 weeks at 90. But only after I've been there for 52 weeks before the 15 weeks before my due date (that's howit's worded) so, I started work the second week of November, when can I get pregnant and get the additional payment?

Wow, putting it like that makes me sound really bad!

I would like to make people aware of this as the law is imposing fines for an act committed by another person! Why? For being a natural parent! My local council sent the fine for removing my child from school. Re, school fine term time! I was livid, explaining we are separated, I did not make the application for leave, I did not remove the child from school! Councils answer, you are the natural parent, no way to contest! 21 days to pay doubling at 28 days then prosecution. Both parents being fined for the actions of one.

A question about : Essential girls clothes?

Hi all, there was a time when my 2 little girls aged 4 and 6 were very well dressed in Boden. As I have been cutting back to pay off my debts they have hardly any new clothes. Today my mum said they looked scruffy. So I think it's time to get them some new (cheap clothes). Since the littlest one started school I haven't had to buy much at all as she's now in a school uniform most of the time.
