A question about : mark against mt credit file but no info given?

I've recently viewd mt credit report in prep for a mortgage (wanted to check to get an idea on how good/bad it is!)
There is a mark against me for a late/non payment (??) but it does not state any details - just 'Lendor contacts unknown'

How do i rectify this if i have no idea who it is??

Also, ive read conflicting info on accessing your credit file. Does this infact affect your credit rating too in a bad way?

  • Well what a fantastic QA regime the CRAs apply! I think you deserve one of their reps to post an explanation here.
  • 1 you don't have a credit rating
    2 which of the 3 credit reference agencies are you referring too and have you checked the other 2 to see if they have recorded the same entry ?
