A question about : Overpayment confusion

We have Ј5k and we want to make an overpayment on one of our debts but are a bit confused about which is the smartest option. Our debts are as follows and all have the option for overpayments:

1. BTL mortgage (thus interest only payments) of Ј110,000 at 4.24%
2. Mortgage for our family home of Ј113,000 at 3.95%
3. Personal loan of Ј12,000 (borrowed 4 months ago to renovate our home) at 9.9%

I initially thought the loan was the best option as its such a bad rate but I'm not sure if I'm right.

I am asking a question on behalf of my husband regarding address details when applying for a loan. He moved into my rented house three years ago. He was added to the council tax but forgot to add himself onto the electrol role.

Previously, he was living in a mortgaged property. When he moved in with me, the mortgage was changed to a buy to let and a tenant moved in.

A question about : Balance Transfers on Personal Loans

Hello all,

I took out a Personal Loan with my bank (Barclays) for Ј5000.
The period was 5 years (60mths)
Paying back roughly Ј7000
APR was ridiculous as I couldn't get approved by other lenders

With total settlement, costs included at around Ј4800.
I was considering loan switch to shift around Ј1700 of the debt.

However it would be with another 5 year loan hence slightly pointless.
So instead what I want to try it clearing the debt on a 0% balance card.

Here's the story..

Was a bit desperate a few months ago and applied for some payday loans.

Stupidly I entered my card details on a website that looks for loans, I didn't think it charged me for it.. I keep getting charged Ј14.99 and this is the reference LOAN MARKETING CD 1532

Who is LOAN MARKETING?

Anyone have any ideas who this is and how I stop it?

They didn't even match me with a sucessful loan

Help appreciated.

A question about : secured business loan v mortgage?

Please can you help? My partner has a small business and a charge was placed on the house which is on the business premises by Lloyds bank in 1995 as security against a business loan. He no longer deals with Lloyds as his account was transferred to TSB when the banks split.
At the time of the charge the property was not lived in by my partner and had been rented out occasionally.
However since 2011 my partner has lived in the property since his divorce.
