laptop won't take photos off my Windows phone

A question about : laptop won't take photos off my Windows phone

Hi, I know nothing about computers so please be kind.

I have been able to get photos off my Windows phone onto my laptop, but now it just won't do it any more... It will show all my old photos but not any new ones.

I have to email photos to myself and then download them, then I can't find them because they are not in photos... I don't know where some of them go!!!

I also keep getting a 'sleep and charge' thing popping up and pinging at me constantly, I can't get rid of it, I don't want it and its all driving me mad at the moment as I am trying to put things on eBay and its taking hours.

Any advice? Is anyone out there who can help me?

• Bluetooth them across, if your laptop has it.
• Your photos should upload to Onedrive automatically and show up in your onedrive on the laptop...Or, attach your phone to the laptop via USB and drag and drop them to where you want.
• Which windows phone version are you using, 7.5/.8 or 8/.1 ?

  Yes, I connect my phone with a USB, all my old photos, that are still on my phone show up but new ones don't ... I can't understand why they used to transfer automatically, but now they don't. I don't know if I have Bluetooth.
  All I can do is email them to myself, but as I said, then I have trouble finding them, it took three goes at downloading them from the email today to find them, I did manage to drag them into my pictures eventually, but what a faff!!!
  All the time the phone is connected the 'sleep and charge' thing keeps beeping at me too, the only information I can find out about it is how to connect the phone to it, not how to disable the thing, I don't need to charge my phone from my laptop.

• What is showing Sleep and charge, the phone or the laptop?
  Are you saying that all your latest photos are not showing in the gallery?
  Check your Onedrive app and make sure that it's set to upload the camera roll automatically. You should be able to do this with either the laptop app or the phone app.
• Sorry I did not get back to this sooner, I am living under a big black cloud right now.
  My computer keeps going on about 'sleep and charge' every time I connect my phone. It is very annoying.
  My computer wants to download all my old photos from my phone, but not any new ones.
  I will have a look at the Onedrive app (although I am not sure about how to do that) tomorrow...... Thank you.
